Toshiba Tec Joins Mopria Alliance to Offer Easy and Simple Mobile Printing Environment
TOKYO--Toshiba Tec (TOKYO:6588), a leading provider of technology solutions announces it joined the MopriaTM Alliance, a non-profit membership organization that promotes wireless printing from smart phone, tablets and other mobile devices in September 2014, and now several Toshiba MFPs have received Mopria-certification.
The aim of Mopria Alliance is to bring together the mobile, software and print industries with the goal of aligning to a standard that ensures universal printing compatibility from any mobile device to any printer anywhere.
The number of mobile users is expanding exponentially and the opportunity to print from those mobile devices is similarly increasing. While this trend is convenient for users, it entails more complexity as there are various mobile print applications and services. Toshiba Tec supports users by providing suitable products to facilitate easy and simple mobile printing environment with the state-of-the-art technology. As one of its approaches Toshiba Tec participates in the Mopria Alliance which makes it easier for users to connect printers with their Mopria-certified smart phone or tablet.
Being a member of Mopria Alliance to seamlessly bridge the worlds of mobility and paper is an element of Toshiba’s “Together Information” initiative.
